PLEN under Floor

Floor heating film PLEN

Comfortable heated floor is the system of infrared ray heating, which is additional source of comfort heating with the main heating system.

The main purpose of the heated floor is an additional comfort heating of living quarters, flats, cottages and offices. Also heated floor are relevant at hotels, hospitals, kindergartens, sport complexes and offices.

Floor heating film’s usage for comfort heating has many advantages comparing to other systems of the heated floor:

  • Comfort – floor heating film creates ideal regime of the temperature in the zones of human activity;
  • Ecology – the system is quiet and safe. Floor heating film does not burn oxygen, the air is not dehumidified and natural humidity is maintained in the room;
  • Law energy consumption;
  • Durability – exploitation period of the heaters is more than 50 years;
  • Safety in respect of fire;
  • Equal heating;
  • Rapid and convenient installation.

After floor heating is switched on, surface temperature of the heaters reaches +45⁰С within several minutes;
Heat generated by system elements shall be transferred by the contact way to the surface of the floor, the floor absorbs it and its surface heats. Floor surface temperature compose 33–35°С;
Heat absorbed by convection way is transferred to the air and it heats up to the set temperature (+23+25°С);
When air temperature reaches temperature that was set in heating controller, the system turns off and surface of the floor further release accumulated heat;
When air temperature is reduced by 1–2°C, the system turns on again and starts new cycle.

Floor heating film is used for additional comfort heating hence its covering area must coincide with zones of human activity.

Before start of the works:

1. Determine area and configuration of the surface on which heated floor shall be installed (it is not necessary to heat the floor under furniture but if you don’t know where furniture will be placed, then their placement on heating zone will not influence work of the system)

2. Determine position of electric installation and channels intended for cables (usually they are laid along walls)
